Fine art gave me a purpose, a meaning that was missing from photographing just for beauty. It gave me a reason to love the imperfect, admire a simple bokeh, to question, to feel and sometimes, even to get out of focus. It opened up a door for my inner passion to express and tell something about life, people and places.
I currently shoot mainly on Polaroid film. It has helped me redefine my connection to photography, to slow down and capture the moment, magically raw. And I strongly feel they have a life of their own, not to be just kept in a weather-proof box but to wander and travel, to be shared for viewing over a cup of tea or in an exhibition. And above all, to be held in hand and wonder.
